HOW IT BEGAN...In 2005, entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore has the concept for FitFlop™ — a multitasking sandal for superwomen. The following year she teams up with expert biomechanists Dr David Cook and Dr Darren James, and the prototype is tested and perfected.
Our first sandal — the WALKSTAR™ — is launched in the US and UK, and instantly becomes a hit. It features our signature Microwobbleboard™midsole technology, and an upper designed by a fashion-loving graphic artist. It’s sporty-gorgeous on top and super engineered underneath. Women – including Oprah Winfrey, Diane Sawyer and Julianne Moore (not that we’re bragging…) – absolutely love it, and FitFlop cements its must-have status.
WHERE WE ARE NOW… We’ve collaborated with a mix of visionaries such as Anna Sui, Stephen Jones and Ron Arad. The style pack can’t get enough of us. You’ll find us all over the world and always online. We marry form and function like nobody else.
