Family owned and run by skilled husband and wife chefs and their family, Orestone Manor, scooped their latest major award, ‘Best Hotel Restaurant in Devon’ at the prestigious Food Drink Devon Awards in Oct 2019.

Fascinatingly Kingdom Brunel's National Portrait Gallery painting was created on the Orestone Manor lawn by brother-in law and the Manor's founder, Sir John Calcott Horsley, in fact the late 1840s and early 1850's saw many Brunel/Horsley family gatherings, neighbours were equally famous with Rudyard Kipling living next door on Rock House Lane. Intriguingly, 2020 is 160 years since Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Orestone era, lending itself well to what the UK’s greatest engineer would have made of this modern-day, foodlovers’ hidden gem.
