Since the 16th century the luxuriously eccentric estate has been a cornerstone of the beautiful Surrey Hills. Bought in1579 by the Evelyn family, Wotton House’s most famous owner was botanist and diarist, John Evelyn, who created the gardens in the Italian Rennaissance style which were the first of their kind in the UK. The mystical temples, hidden walled gardens and ornamental fountains have long been admired and make the perfect romantic escape.  
Spend the night in one of Wotton House’s elegant Junior Suites, with sky-high ceilings and artwork that brings the local history to life. Sip on champagne and enjoy a delicious dinner in 1877, before heading out for a romantic stroll in the sprawling gardens.
